I saw a bee, opening a flower,
So innocent, his protuberance,
Innocently insecting a flower.
I saw a flower bloom from a flower,
I saw all these bees lining up, to
Taste the flower, what
Higher power, than life-to-life?
I saw a wasp-a sitting in a palm,
So decadent, those fronds, folds, leafings
Innocently accepting insects...
I saw a palm holding up mountains,
I saw all these wasps staging me, to
Fertilize the flower, what
Higher power, than a bower?
I sat on a bee-powdered flower,
Winding me away. Sometimes poems
Are enlightened. Sometimes not.
