Living longish, 43 yrs.,
and being a better
observer to life
than
a live'er of life,
I have seen
different kinds
of birth.
The birth of
hopelessness, my best friend,
trapped, but staunch,
with 3 diverse boys,
and a child
for a husband.
The birth of
hope, myself, opened
to the world,
squeezing myself dry
to explain
life, here, now,
to you.
The birth of
awareness, given
freely, by religious
opposite, yet,
in the end
we both want
peace.
The birth of
contact, tenuously linked,
to kin of a kind,
thoughtful and
restless,
and computerized.
The birth of death,
the ultimate freedom
from sweet world's life,
to never read a book,
again,
as a human,
the thought,
aches, and laughs
at the birth
of me.
