I Am Not So Naive...

I am not so naïve as to think,
my small bit in continuing a living community
does not come across as equality…
I am not so sure what to think,
when a special touch may not be freed,
I wonder, about that equality,
but I am not so naïve…
I am not so smart as to think,
my fragility will not be exposed,
I could be you…I really am, combined
with the other yous, we are the same,
I am not so sure what to think,
when a world is so insecurely chinked,
I wonder, about sincerity,
but I am not so naïve…
I am not so blind as to think,
my resistance is purely my own design,
I am you…why do you question me like
I am not like you? We are the same.
I am now sure what to think,
we are the world, forever bedevil-linked,
I wonder, about humanity,
but I am not so naïve…

So, I have put this one in my AD library and will go back to it initially for the pleasure of reading it again and then,at some point, for enlightenment. When that happens I'll let you know what I've discovered.
This is my first visit to your poetry pages; I look forward to many more over time.
