The sight is stunning…
hordes and crowds and flocks
of people
are streaming out of New York City,
on foot.
Late afternoon there, the Subway
is down, the power
is off, the streets
and freeways
are filled with…
people. Walking
out of New York City.
The sight is magnificent,
and frightening.
How will they all get
where they are going?
The dilemma is stupefying…
the sight is stunning.

Night is coming…

Scary as it is, brings these people together. Was trapped in an elevator for several hours in New York, we missed the first floor. Twelve people trapped together, air supply goes quickly. The main thing is to stay focused, great write.

Erin isn't it surreal? God bless those people they are do calm, I've been watching since it happened, and all I can say is they are an example of the best in people. I pray it is just an overload and not terrorism, but whatever it is, they have acted superbly!I was without power for 8 hours last week and thought the world had ended;-)REally feel for the people in elevators. God be with them! Great writing Erin!

I'm watching this as I read,,,it is a frightening sight! Brings back so many scary fears of a time only two years ago. Hopefully
