I took a walk into my head (bled),
starting at now (how) presented as past,
seeing (being) begotten road behind-ahead.
Tiny strings (wings) of experienced flings
had woven my trials (wiles), bridges and nets,
into a rainbow of uplifting sense (fence).
Bulbous hollows (shallows) dotted its length
where lessons not learned (unearned)
haplessly sank, lots of these (appease…please).
Elsewhere erstwhile hopes flew down (drown)
as energies collapsed in helplessness (hopelessness)
creating void (devoid) of angled rounds.
Yet, silver rivers (givers) of humanity ran
expanding roads width (gift) with acuity,
providing a base (face) to my id, comforting me.
