Sibilance Whispers Back

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Saturday, October 18, 2003

Sibilance shushes

blooming beat, creating chaos,

   questions form loosely.

‘Why’, always a good one,

echoes presumptively.

Sibilance chuckles,

blockading beats, constructing crash,

   questions obliquely.

‘How’, reverbs through mind,

shadowed conversely.

Sibilance simpers

banal beats, curving crescendos,

   questions blearily.

‘What’, eclipses answers,

deafened, fortuitously.

Sibilance whispers,

blacking beat, chilling craft,

   questions eternally.

I had to look up the word sibliance to gain understanding of this write. It gives a haunting, chilling feel and yet softness of answers at the same time.

Whoa! You had my tongue twisted up and around and getting in the way if itself as I maneauvered my way throught the literary version of a delectable decoct, in order to savor the sweet sadness of this strange soliloquy.
