Moody Caresses

Everything
in nature
wants to be a circle.
She will circle
herself.
Anachronisms enact chronic demands
of punctuating emphasis. Alas!
She giggles! Gleefully misapplying
time’s dated reaction!
Meter demands chronic enactment
of beating emphasis. Alack!
She giggles! Gleefully recreating
time’s fated acronym!
“I fortress!”
A line of delineation
between ‘you and me’,
but drawn more towards
myself.
She moodily caresses
the paper
with her mind
‘s fingertips,
paper muse
cuts its portion
into strips,
bleeding out
moody caresses.
Paper wins.
