The journey of a woman
Is a journey of the heart
Experiences of joy and pain
Right from the very start.
As teens we think we know it all
At twenty we start to flower
At thirty we begin to see the truth
At forty we’ve found our power.
At fifty the mirror must be wrong
At sixty there’s no doubt
At seventy we just float along
At eighty too weak to shout.
We turn into our mothers
Somewhere along the way
Not easy to admit, it’s true
"Impossible!" some would say.
The truth is in the middle
I know from whence I speak
One thing of which there is no doubt
Each womans’ journey is unique……
