In the new arrangement of this song, Ringo begins by singing the “Los Angeles” verse in a cappella. Then the original recording begins softly, playing through the instrument verse. Then, for the rest of the verses, the “la la la” verse is repeated over and over again, but the full orchestra from the song “A Day in the Life” begins to intrude, until it is almost drowning out the vocals. The last chord from “A Day in the Life” coincides with the ending of the sung portion of “Flying”, and the “psychedelic” portion is the coda, as in the original version. At the end, Ringo whispers “thank you boys! thank you boys!” as the song fades to silence..... .
