she threw me out
without a care
but I didn't really want
to go back in there
guess it was over
guess that I knew
guess that it was
too good to be true
so now I'm free
free as can be
back on my own
with the lucky blues
a man's gotta eat
a man's gotta love
no matter whatever
what the girl does
if I can't be me
put on my own shoes
then I'll hit the street
with the lucky blues
it might not be right
not what I choose
here comes the night
but that aint news
the whole world is mine
no matter the crime
this is my life
this is my time
it may be kind
it may be cruel
but I got no chains
and my heart is anew
so now I am free
to love who I choose
so let's just call it
the lucky blues

Reviews of "THE LUCKY BLUES song lyrics by Joel Sattler"
I really like these “lucky” blues. We don't usually associate the blues with good luck. On the other hand, sometimes bad luck is the best thing for us because it puts us into new territory where we can luck out. These lyrics are simple, straightforward, and sing to me. The best work I've seen from you.
