it's the hummingbird man
the hummingbird man
driving cross the country
in a little stealth van
with the hold full of grapefruit
and his face full of smiles
the hummingbird man
flies for miles and miles
once he was a laborer
laying tiles and floors
once he was a busker
putting end to wars
once he was a carpenter
building Amish barns
once he was a dairyman
going farm to farm
but now he is a hummingbird
floating place to place
dropped out of the marathon
of the human race
took the spirit of the bird
as his saving grace
sipped the nectar of the gods
only just a taste
it's the hummingbird man
the hummingbird man
driving cross the country
in a little stealth van
with the hold full of grapefruit
and his face full of smiles
the hummingbird man
flies for miles and miles

Reviews of "THE HUMMINGBIRD MAN song lyrics by Joel Sattler"
A nice catchy phrase for a hook… I'm singing along already.
My partner squeezed four of her tangerines this morning for a lovely glass of tangerine juice… So I'm ready to get out on the road in my little man as the Tangerine Man.
"Hey Mr. [Tangerine] man, play a song for me… In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come following you." Robert Zimmerman, a.k.a. Bob Dylan.
