I can see the desperation

you just better get on the train !
I can hear it coming
a quarter to nine
don't need to be told

you don't have to worry
you're doing fine
by this time tomorrow
you'll be down the line
I can't make it more plain
you better get on the train !
it's the train to glory
time to decide
you know the story
it's bonafide
in the affairs of men
there comes a tide
take it at the flood
and ride baby ride
so let me say it a gain
you better get on the train !

The train has been used as a metaphor for life in many poems and songs. Unfortunately, people today don't identify the train as the primary means of moving between cities anymore. The metaphor still works, though, like in your beautifully crafted song.
When I wrote ths book in 2000, I was concerned about children having access to the Internet and to chat rooms where "you can be anyone you want." Here we are many years later and the situation with children talking freely to stangers on the Internet
