I don't think we're in Kansas anymore

THE TORNADO ALWAYS WINS lyrics
by JOEL SATTLER

I've seen the burning cities of the future
smoke rising from the edge
I've seen the roads across the plain
running straight into Mesa land
I"ve seen the empty grassland
where the bison used to roam

I've seen the empty rooms
where once I had a home
I"m too old to be stupid
I'm too young to be afraid
I'm too smart to be captured
I"m too dumb to be a slave
nobody knows the trouble I seen
and nobody really wants to know

I know the way to get out of this dream
but nobody else wants to go

The temple is full of warriors
who have given up the fight
the sky is full of stars
who are jealous of the night
I saw a young girl singing
and so I fell in love
if this could be the end
it would be the perfect moment of

Sandcastle Sandcastle
the waves are coming in
The scarecrow and the lion
and the man made out of tin

are waiting just ahead
on a road made out of gold

tomorrow is a memory of what might've been
no matter what you think you've been told the tornado always wins

The tornado always wins
the tornado always wins
then you have a chance to being again
but the tornado always wins
