SHAKESPEARE BLUES lyrics
by JOEL SATTLER

He was the reincarnation of Shakespeare
that's what he told everyone
the reincarnation of Shakespeare
but we all thought it was a bomb
oh what a tangled web we weave
when first we practice to deceive
he really thought he was the reincarnation of Shakespeare
he wanted to fool everyone

all the young girls thought he was Shakespeare
they wanted to prove him wrong
so they took him to bed and flogged him
while singing his favorite song

to be or not to be
what are you telling me
if you really are Shakespeare
then give me a king for my kong

there comes a tide in the affairs of men
comes and comes and comes again
how much more a man can take
more than once is a mistake

the undiscovered country
from which no man returns
if you don't ask the questions
you will never learn

full fathom five
Shakepeare lies
or is it beyond the truth
you'll never know how far you'll go
when you are in your youth

all the world's a stage
and all the women players
they'll play you for fool
cause they don't really care

so don't say you are Shakespearean
if you can't back it up
if only for experience
you don't look so tough

who would have thought
the old man to have had so much blood in him???

Spread the news, it's Shakespeare's blues! A nice little gimmick. But I believe the mystery still resides as to who wrote

However, I don't think that last line makes a lot of sense.
