America began when it was named after Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian explorer first described the New World found as a continent. Almost immediately after 1492, the conquering began.
Europeans, explorers, kings and businessmen (not businesswomen) saw the unspoiled land as an opportunity to exploit it to the maximum for its, seemingly, endless wealth. We all know now that there is a limit to what the American continents can provide and we have overreached it to the point where the last day of America may actually be in our future like your song predicts.
God bless America and may we find a way out of the mess we are creating merely from greed very soon.

Not sure what your observations are for America. However it is going through an identity crisis and cannot be ruled by kings and monarch's. As a wife of a severly injured veteran who struggles every day to just function, who proudly stood for the security of our republic, yes it's a republic, not a democracy as few argue.I'm honored so many died for my right to remain free and free we will continue because God is on our side and light always wins. God bless this memorial day and all it represents.
