SWEET GRACE lyrics
by JOEL SATTLER

When the night has passed and morning comes at last
and then you look into her face, you discover Grace
Grace is all you can discover
Grace is like a secret lover

Sweet Grace sweet grace
have mercy
mercy mercy mercy
have mercy on me

she's the only one
like the coming of the sun
like a bird that's taken flight
like the ending of the night
like the morning of my life
sweet grace
have mercy
mercy mercy mercy
have mercy
all day long
you are my only song
have mercy
mercy mercy mercy
have mercy on me

the sun is bloody red
your perfume fills my head
sweet grace
have mercy
mercy mercy mercy
have mercy on me

You seem to have combined the meaning of Amazing Grace with Mercy, Mercy Me with a nuance like the song, Georgia, where grace could either be a person or a forgiveness. And like Hallelujah, both in the way Leonard Cohen sang it and in the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel, repetition works on the brain nicely to embed the feeling in long-term memory.
