Exhilarating, mesmeric,
the huntress descends
from behind the shadows
and stages her presence

in grand-fashion air.
She steps into the lights
ready to snare
their hearts, their minds.

Her feet firmly planted,
she allures, seduces;
their will, her own,
to do as she chooses.

The price of admission,
offers what they need.
But they must surrender
to her real-lie-ty.

She flashes a radiant smile,
they forfeit their hearts,
they’re in her world, her light,
when blackout; the curtain falls.
