Forever

Forever is an instant,
when time is standing still.
When moonlight cradles dawn
and gently awakens the sun.
When light transcends shadows
and dew covers the land.
And in that seamless space
of wonder,
our eyes meet
and we long to unravel
the moment when time
stopped for us.
The moment when we touched
and two no more, are one
forever, but can we understand
that kisses will linger
in our remembrance
of warm jasmine scented nights
and forever alter our paths
because we are two no more
but one, though our hands 
no longer touch.
Forever is a child's dream
as she listens
to songs of yesteryear,
and the verses sketch
visions of future in her mind.
Forever is, the never-changing
human essence.
The unending thirst to discover
only to rediscover life as is, and was
and will be, ad infinitum;
always moving, never stopping.
Forever is a breath, a sigh, a kiss, a touch,
tears welling in my eyes.
A single instance, that microscopic space
when life embraces death, and
forever IS...............................
