Poetic Unearthing

By

Carmen Ruggero

Leaping into maddening mind shadows,
he’ll decipher the great metaphor.
But ambiguous seems his query,
thus, the unearthing be false, or true ?

Certain, he’ll find the bright daffodils
amongst autumn’s rubescent hues,
and as the world darkens around him,
he’ll see spring’s clear rivulet loom.

He is at sundown, a journey’s end, they say.
Muddled? Indeed not.  For he’s convinced
that as the poet thus the yarn unravel,
brightly the stars will shine at noon,

and the swaddling pink of dawn, will spread
its mercy on the midnight doom.

This piece is an experiment for me. Please critique to your heart's content. I can only grow from it. Thank you.

An WHAT an experiment you have created and executed, Carmen, thus is a fabulous write! I especially admire the crafting of the last two lines:

"and the swaddling pink of dawn, will spread
its mercy on the midnight doom."

Fantastic!

I feel this is an exceptionally good write, Carmen. I do agree that the closing lines do not flow as well as the rest of your poem. ~~Bonnie Q

Carmen, I love the thoughts contained herein, and I love the format.
Good for you for experimenting.
that last line of the first stanza might work better with as simple a change as word order: "will the unearthing be false, or true? which avoids cliched, "true or false".

I agree with Andre Bendavi Ben-Yehu the last line needs working but the whole feeling of the poem is great!

"Poetic Unearthing" is interesting and has a profound philosophical background.

The last line of the first Stanza - sounds as it needs rewriting.

This poem, "Poetic Unearthing" delivers food for the minds.

A grand experiment, I'd say, Carmen. Really enjoyed this, and an extremely powerful opening - 'Leaping into maddening mind shadows' - Wow.

Take out the comma between rivulet and loom and you'll have a masterpiece.

Found it a bit paradoxical in a clever way, stars at midday, once told dig a hole 200' and look up and one can see the stars in day, "never got more than 10 feet before got dads belt, love this style, nice one..
