a little naughty this pm
on a sunny day a bright and blowzy november’s day I hiked through fen and fog to keep the dark blues away in the darkling noon I chanced upon a tapster’s room and there I met a gay croquet playing the bassoon “my dear”, saith i for, indeed she caught my eye, “what’s a bassoon so fine doing listing to my lie?” “that’s no a good line” she said with a smile “but better my fine bassoon has not heard in an awfully long awfully long time!” she took her bassoon and I a bottle to her upstairs room we did toddle the lady, bassoon, the wanderer and the bottle the details I will spare you say that we played what-have-you: canasta or jacks backgammon perhaps what ever please you
