Poem Artwork

I am okay...just poetry...actually...just a moody day!!

****************************

"It’s 5 o’clock"

As

Morning breaks in somber gray

Old dust upon leaves

Now washed away

Melancholy welcomes strange thoughts

New problems will arise

Within this new day for sure

I am like a little girl

Lost in a forest

Removed from the “Now”

Far away from reality

Piping through a dark tunnel

Melancholy mocking her

Mocking her deepest thoughts

The only thing she can hear

Is the voice very deep inside

The voice of her heart

Telling her lies

She looks like a wild flower

Blown by the wind

Wandering

The route-less path of the forest

As the morning breaks

In somber gray

She touches

Wet blades of grass

It’s 5 o’clock

Now dark

And

M

Great write, Tinka! My antidote to a mood like this one is to indulge myself in things that make me happy, or throw shoes at the wall...whatever suits my fancy at the moment

No wonder you are moody Tink if you get up at 5 a.m. That's obscene!
I think we all have visions of childhood like this one, but you capture the emotions well.
best

Writing usually is the catalyst that alters my moods.

5:00, where I live, is the gloaming and I'm always affected during that time of day. The shadows lengthen, it's the time between worlds.

BOO!!!!! Come on, snap out of it. Still, moody or not, you wove a nice poem. Sometimes our best work comes from despair, and glum and misery and all that jazz!
