A soul sketch of a silent desire Can be as intimate as love Or as cold as death This is a night before When the heart is empty of delight Happiness I wanted to say… In front of the fire Whispering…cracking sticks Stripping bark into straws But it isn’t about happiness Or a dream to build kisses from It’s about the imagination A soul sketch of a silent love It’s a sketch of a poets mind A poet’ love and passion And the free flow of her pen in words About her emotions… her love… and desire Sketched in the dark corners of her soul It’s not about happiness But the intimate sketch Of her spirit deep Whispering… cracks… raw But with a beauty Deep within
Excellent Flow Tink- :) I felt lost in it!This is a keeper to read over and over. I like the feelings in it, Thanks 4 sharing your Gorg. Soulful drawing too. Many HuGs,Sheee
Your words so wonderfully match and highlight your sketch here that it is hard to decide which must have come first the sketch or the poem. Either way it is a work of art. Well done.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
Thank you so much Tinka.
Love this one much!
