Song:

"A Tear Fell"

*********

The Pain In Knowing

The pain in knowing

As truth reveals itself

Never to be number one

Love moved the other way

Ultimate price to be paid

For a love so very far away

Nothing more

Than the deepest pain to gain

Time embraced

In wide-open space

Fleeting moments of happiness

Now ripped from a bleeding heart

Left behind

Sadness deep

Deep within the chambers

Of a dying heart

That still slowly beats

In rhythm of pain

The pain of knowing

Never to be number one

The ultimate price to pay

For a love so very far away

Time embraced

In wide open space

Fleeting moments of happiness

Now gone…

The pain in knowing

It belongs to another
