A millions roads out there Runs across our planet Silver bridges that Crosses rivers wide Ships anchored in unknown ports All searching for stories of love Endless search for love and happiness Across the seven seas Ballades of love songs to sing Ships sailing in the wind Spaceships pushing through the universe To meet the stars and planets secret But all still looking Searching for stories of love Never ending search for freedom To belong…to love to hold You and me walking past stranger in the street Leave them behind Do they also misses the sunshine The beauty of your smile Do they see the tear That runs down my cheek And when a stranger comes your way Will you have a place in your life for him Or will you close up like a shell Not to let him see What’s locked up in your soul Or will you cover your face And run away along this Lonesome road I am on Where there is no silver bridge To cross this road of pain Or will I drown on my own Trying to cross the rivers Of endless love and Unknown ports filled With spilled tears of loneliness And my heart that follow the road Back to you wherever you are Time and time again My road leads back to you And this endless search of love Through this song of solitude Everything I want to say Just fades away
And the ships keep passing in the night, and do exactly as your last line suggests. (Except for the weekend passes!)(LOL)

As a retired Hydrographer I know the intricacies of charts and maps but none are as complex as the routes of peoples loves and hearts througout life. well written and soooo true my dear Tinka.
I so agree with Eileen, this is one of your finest, I am pleased that you are looking forward, that is the only way love will ever find you...way to go, Tinks. love and peace to you

You jacked it up and made this one hum, Tinka, I am impressed by your consistency within the poem and the forever and ever sxpectations of love, true love, coming your way.

Love comes knocking on your door when you least expect it Tinks !
And Eileen is right, this is one of your best pens, superbly written with raw emotion .

This is one of your really superb poems Sis!
So many exceptional lines,
"Or will I drown on my own
Trying to cross the rivers
Of endless love and
Unknown ports filled
With spilled tears of loneliness
And my heart that follow the road
Back to you wherever you are
Time and time again
My road leads back to you
And this endless search of love
Through this song of solitude
Everything I want to say
Just fades away"
First that is the cutest of pictures.....
Love is elusive which is all the more reason to seize it and engulf ourselves in it when we find it.. or it us.
