Metropolis
Brick and mortar conspiracy – booth doth
Disease of the brain reflected in glass panes
Millions and millions of parasites ass tight
Asphalt wilderness – desert within its means
Sweet insecurity, hovering, infectious drain
Daily mechanical uproar – polluted dream
Pavement oysters - $1,000 fine; vomit for free
Fuddled masses weaving - tattered garment
Mayoral decisions – unsophisticated grieves
Muggings, shootings – fear dark as the night
Disparate theme – water thicker than blood
Evasive alien seeds germinate in the concrete
Covered in smog and sweat-covered pavement
Corruption is the knife – a scalpel the un-seam
On the streets, Strongest bond - a quiet tongue
Swollen population has one soul – phosphorus
Fear a catalyst, ignites, bringing in the sheaves
When 1 dies, exiled – no longer in a living hell
Disappears from nothingness – insanity to sane
The Circle of loneliness 180’s – death reprieved.

Wow! What a profound statement, and what a poem. Mother Earth would be pleased - I think she truly tires of us parasites these days.

The world is insane, slowly driven to destruction by the hand of mankind... Banished from enlightenment on the pursuit of selfish greed and hatered of all that is not understood. Love the only saving grace to our existence.
Tremendous write... truth rings through your verse
You must have toured the seamy side to grind out this litany of cause and effect. And it's well-ground out I might add. Captures the ugliness and traverses back to reprieve. Quite an interesting theme, set to the tune of "Downtown."
