Three Short Days of Joy

The doorbell rang and in a flash

She hesitated no more…

She ran down stairs

Nervous but worries now gone

She open the front door

There he stood in front of her

Tongue now tight but with arms in flight

He had to hold on tight

To stay on his feet

As she fly into his arms just to say

“Hi Chuck”

Hours then did fly like hell

But a friendship bonded well

As they visited “Baileys Court Inn” Pub

They had a snort or three and a pee J

Then had to walk back home

But surely was great fun

And all too soon they had to say goodbye again

As he had to go back to B&B Mayfair Lodge

To get a good night rest

As for that elephant juice from the South

Knocked him out like a light

And left its mark upon the bed

The next day came pretty soon J

They took the bus

From Henleaze Road to some place called…WHAT??

The Waterfront ala Arnolfini’s Ghalo!!

To meet their girl friend Kate from afar

Old Andy Boy did miss out this time

Too afraid to be fed to Tinka’s piggies from afar

Then Tinky-Doll with Kate-Delight and Paul – the - Stud

These three strangers bonded well right there

For hugs and kisses they did share

Along with wine and Smirnoff ice Oh deary Me

How did our head not spin…with rosy cheeks and giggles

Whisky and what ever more J

Chops and desert and choc we shared

And laughter without end

Time this time just did not play the game

Too soon we had to say goodbye

What a shame L

Kate by train and they the bus

Then they had to say goodbye

Promises made to meet again

The bus did not play his part

And made us walk for miles and miles

Totally lost till we found the Mouse’ Nest

Only then we walked and walked some more

Before we could find

Paul’s Mayfair Den…hehehehe…what a night!!

New York here we come…I guess J

Thank you Guys for making a plan

To meet this Girl from afar

You made your love shine so bright

I had to shed a tear that night

Knowing someone cared enough

And wanted to share

A love in true friendship so rare

The next day came too fast

When Paul and I had to say our goodbye

With ginger beer ready to explode

He waved goodbye

Hope to see you soon again Chuck!!
