Poem Artwork

My Son Nichol breaking the record twice this year in shot-put

January 25,2007

“Shot Put – Dance”

I see you dancing in the sun

You are having so much fun

Feelings of love surrounds you

Flowing richly within

Not a worry on this day

Or what tomorrow may bring

No aching pains of aging

But here I sit

Watching your every step

My life nearly over now

I can see the distant shore of death

And I feel so very lonely

Filled with remorse

For this life I once had

A life that run its course

And as I look at you

So full of life

Without a care or worry to bare

Oh I just want you to live life in full

And I wish I could do it once more

To grasp every moment

To let laughter be the rule

Because without warning

So quickly it’s all gone my son

You will reach dawn before you know it

And with sadness I realize

Tomorrow may never come

And all my dreams might be gone

So my child leap

And enjoy every moment

I will live life through you

Listen to Joseph - simply put! Tinka, you still got alot of living to do so go do it! You're a joy and a pleasure and Nichol looks up to you or he wouldn't want to excel as he has. You've done a great job so keep enjoying the blessings of today.
God Bless,
Sharon

Oh Tinky, don't focus on that distant shore. Everything you long for, you can have today but you have to grab it moment by moment. Don't live through your son but learn from him. Please give my congratulations to Nichol.

Love & Light always and in all ways,
Joseph*

You are right to be very proud of your son, congratulations to him and best wishes for his future.
Forgive me Tinka but quite honestly I think you are too amazing and unique a woman to live your life through anyone else...live for you and shine with your own light. You are far from old and from what I have seen and read of and from you I believe you are still young at heart, therefore to quote a very fine writer:
'So my child leap
And enjoy every moment'
Hugs and love to you and yours
From
Kay.

Oh Tink you captured well the image of a lot of us parents who often look back a little disappointed at our own lifes only to see our children excelling in theirs. You are right we can watch them advise them, and encourage them to strive to be the best they can but always to laugh and enjoy life.

You wrote a moving poem that many elders and parents can relate to. This talent that young ones have to enjoy life to an extent that we no longer are capable of, is a blessing. When we grow older the dreams of our younger days fade, but are replaced with others of a different nature and scope. It often requires an effort of our minds and hearts that is not easily put to words, but the compassion and will to carry on in a positive way in spite of the trouble you experience puts you in a front seat in realms where the goodness and honesty of souls matter. This world may not appreciate those properties, but this world is a transient environment, while the realms ruled by immaculate Love are infinite. We are here to learn, and what we have learned often causes us to worry, especially when we enjoy watching the care free ways of the young. Because we know what trouble is ahead. But beyond that is a world so beautiful that words can never describe them properly. Thank you for creating and sharing. I enjoyed being on this page. Take care,

Tinka,

At some point or other we all tend to live life through our children. That picture brings back memories of my high school days. We only wish the best for our children and who could ever want more than love.

Living life through our energetic, ambitious children removes us far apart from loneliness.

You have a son to be proud of, and he has a mother to treasure.

Glad to see that somebody is winning. ;-) If you was eighty, this would be a fine piece, but you are too young to write of the end so soon. Now git out there and write me something happy!

A write that any mother would relate to, Tinka. Life is a forward motion and it is never more obvious than when we watch our children and with great anticipation, hope that they will find all in their life that we never found in our own so that we can live vicariously through them. We pray that the grief that we have known will have been enough that they will never have to suffer it themselves. Beautiful, Tinka!
Take care,
Sherry
