NO More, Shall I taste the sweet nectars
from your lips

No More
~~~~~~~~~~
The sapphire blue stone
Of the magic ring
Like the depths of the sea
Like those passionate eyes
You possess
Adorning an angelic face
I see no more.
The voice that once
Whispered I love you
Between sighs incoherently
Laden with desiring wants
I hear no more.
The sweet nectars
From the softness of your lips
I carry still
With every thought of you
For the taste of you
Is eternally upon my lips.
These empty arms
No longer are filled
With the voluptuousness
Of your divine body
As you "snuggle"
Within them ever so gently.
Even my dreams of you
Were pilfered from my mind
Leaving me behind
Dreamless
Craving your passionate
Desires.
No more, no more
Shall I ever possess you
No more, no more
Shall I ever taste
The sweet nectars
From your lips.
AH...BUT WILLIAM, THE BEAUTY OF OLD TREASURED MEMORIES IS NOT TO BE ENCRUSTED AND MARRED WITH SADNESS AND REGRET BUT TO BE CELEBRATED FOR THE EXPERIENCE FOR HAVING KNOWN PASSION AND DESIRE...'LOVE'!...IN ALL ITS RICH, REWARDING FULLNESS. LOOKING BACK AT BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES, SHOULDN'T HURT. YOU WERE RICHLY BLESSED...AND STILL ARE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
This is such a beautiful love poem. I enjoyed reading every verse of it today, each verse was filled with so much love and passion. I could really feel the yearning and desire that was displayed. Well written.
...tender words written with an exceptional poetic
ability and ...metaphors of those awesome-powerful-
consuming-intense emotions...and deeply personal
need to give a voice to...such anguish...
Thank you William, for sharing your verse.
Such longing expressed for a lost love. Very vivid and engaging. A good write if not true and a sad write if true.
Fantastic romantic poetry. However, never say never for all things are possible as I have experienced.
May Peace, Love and Blessings be with you my friend,
Love lost is a sad and overwhelming situation. Some bounce back rather quickly, others it takes longer, and in the meantime they continue to have agony within the heart.
