Poem Artwork

Your heart screams so loud
for you to listen, and hopes that
one day, perhaps you will be
able to hear the message you
hold inside yourself.
That you will come to appreciate all of
the beautiful things you’re missing
in the world of shadow in
which you choose to live.
‘Tis a message to soothe the turmoil
in your world, but you insist on
your blindness, to the point
where you defend it with every
fibre of your being...these things
you are seeing cannot be real,
happiness is not for you, it’s not
possible to see what you might see
if you were to allow the real to
fit into your life where it naturally
belongs.
You still cannot hear your song,
or at least, if you do, you never
share it, instead you hoard it
selfishly inside of yourself
for no one to find save
your sorrow and self-pity.
One day you will look back down
your road, and you will sense
a deeper sorrow; the sorrow
that you did not stop along
the way and give heaven
a chance to lead you back to you...

This made me think of someone very special I can't help.
She will never be happy, and never know why.
Only I'll know.
Deep touching write.
