Sincerity said to indecency,
"Why do you speak to me that way?
I do not wish to associate with you,
those things I do not crave!"

Then embarrassment spoke up, chimed in to speak,
and said indecency was going the wrong way...
Was wrong to intrude upon sincerity’s world
with the hope of leading her astray.

Then pride jumped in, had something to say,
a penny to add to their thoughts...
And said, "Here, here, what have you done,
do you think this is all that we’ve got?!"

Then fear spoke up, in her terrified tone,
and said, "I wonder what indecency did wrong?
I didn’t hear a word he said...
Was there something offbeat in his song?

Indignant and awestruck, bravado joined in,
with a touch of attitude in the midst of his words...
I don’t much care about the bickering here -
I’ll never tell what I heard!

Frustration kicked in and chimed...
"What the hell’s going on -
Who is it that’s singing
such a stupid ditty song??

Ignorance spoke up and said,
"I’ve had enough, I’ll listen no more."
and left this mad cacophony,
walked out and closed the door.
