I am a withered soul , they say

 From centuries before

I've been a part of everyone

 I've sobbed through senseless wars

Been mired within your sorrow,

Stillborn within my fears

I've seen the world change each time

And more and more the years

Have added up to sameness...

With likened old worn souls

They interchange through timeless space

Mere seconds, still 'on hold'

I wonder of my purpose,

Where are the answers found?

The answers all you try to give ..

 Are gracious but earth bound

I know, for instance, that your spirit, perception....and religion

Is all the same in relevance ...call it intuition

I feel your wishes and destain,

I see inside your dreams

Those times when eyes say everything ....

I'm in your heart, it seems

I sense tomorrow and your smiles

I taste the salt of tears

I've worn your shoes a thousand times 

 Through years and years and years

Spirits live inside us all...

Their whisper beckons others

Then energies connect each one,

 Brother unto brother

Hearts are lifted light as air

Or weighted down with rocks

Can't take being all couped up,

Then ...think outside the box

Greet your angel ...connect the energies

Then listen from inside

Know that hope and faith are housed

 Deep within life's ride

Your spirit is as old as mine

 Yet much less obligated

If I can recall my past forms ...

Opt for a choice... then take it

I'd dwell with centuries ..logic-bound

With knowledge beyond years

While you draw back and stunt your growth

With doubt and senseless fears .
