Tidal Wave

I have had this dream several times in the last twenty years. It begins with an old fashioned movie reel of me at the beach. I leave the beach and walk up a hill to the gas station. Right when I walk out the door I hear sirens, and people screaming. I look down the hill and see a tidal wave wiping out everything in its path. I am frozen in my tracks and the wave goes over my head. I know it is the end, and then I wake in a pool of sweat. ~Peace~
~Tidal Wave~ The sun is shining and the beach packed Find a spot and stretch out on my towel Drift off into dreamland for a few hours When I wake I am in a pool of sweat Very hot, so I decide to go for a walk Nearest store is up a very steep hill On my way back I hear screaming Everyone is running up the hill in a panic I am up high and can't believe what i see Frozen stiff as I look at the huge wave in fear Coming fast and I know it is the end of my time Legs feel like bricks and going in slow motion Every living thing below me is gone like the wind I fight with all my might to get away from the wave Goes over my head and I am alone in a huge tunnel I hold my breath, then see a movie reel of my past... For a moment there is complete darkness, and silence Then I hear a loud snap and the dream starts over again... © Copyright 2011 Chessly Lynn Nesci

I can relate to a nightmare such as this....to the dreamer...it's absolutely real and terrifying.....

Well with the advance of media techno we can now see the results of these catastrophes such as the recent tsusami and the image are imprinted not only into our minds but into our sub conscious minds and the What if? play out in our dreams I think.

Dream? A dream you say? Hell no, Chessly, this is a full blown nightmare... But, unfortunately, for so many people in Asia this nightmare became reality. A great change of topic and style for you, pretty lady.

An excellent writing as always, Chessly. A doctor once told me it was food I was eating that was causing nightmares. Maybe you should check that out.

what a crappy day at the beach!!! it doesn't have to be like this; but oh yes, i have these sorts of dreams too. they usually involve snow, like i'm walking through a frozen tundra and everything is blowing away, i'm freezing cold and it's hard to move. good writing my dear!!
