The moon light shined brightly over me
It was as bright as a search light during the war years
A police helicopter buzzed over me standing in my doorway
Criminals were having a feast at the innocents expense
The new laws of immigration were still not being enforced
Drug dealers searched for the business at hand
The area of Phoenix I lived in had become a jungle
It was littered with crack pipes and stoned misfits
I watched in horror as two addicts fought over crack
One actually plunged a 7 inch stiletto into his combative
The combative dropped to his knees and then forward into a lifeless corpse
A loud roar drove silence into oblivion
The big cat had come out of the weeds of the drainage wash
His roar was deafening as he streaked across the moon light
I watched as he used the big saber on his nose to carve up the murderer
It was quick and it was just
Just another night in crack city
