A very crucial discovery was made five thousand years ago

A nomad named Omar was wandering the sahara desert

He had been wandering for miles but he had water to replenish his body fluids

Looking downward to avoid the sun rays he saw an orange furred animal ahead fifty feet or so

He saw that it was some sort of feline gasping for air

Omar walked up to the sun drenched feline and spilled some of his water on the animal

The feline rapidly drank and licked the water from his body

The nomad gave the animal some more water to hydrate himself

He picked up the feline who weighed approximately ten pounds

Omar placed the cat in his back pack, because the animal was severely tired

The two traveled for five hundred yards to an oasis 

There was shelter there from the intense heat from the sun

Omar and the feline shared some more water from his flask

There was a nest of rodents at the shelter

The feline in the matter of seconds had killed the largest rat

Omar was not an educated man but he deduced the cat was anti rat

He decided to take the cat back to Cairo and present him to the high priest

The priest had a large vermin population back in his temple

The cat who was named king of the rats by the high priest

He managed to kill all the infectious rodents that were in the temple
It was then and there that the North African Wildcat became the domestic feline
