When my mood used to turn me into a very angry person.
-------------------------------------

Words flew out of my mouth as the cuckoo nest beckoned me towards insanity

He was just another patient spewing hatred

He could not shut me up

Profanity laced my vocabulary

He had stepped on my foot and grinded his heel into my instep

I was completely agitated to a crisis

My left hand landed on his face tattoo style

We were broken up as an overnight in seclusion was to be my roomate

Anger had played a large part of that night

Now I think back to the idiotic maneuvers of my brain cells

I found the Lord just in time

Was I really that guy when I was younger

Only "Serquel" knows the answer

Great poem that I can relate to! Well written and honest. We are new creatures in Christ, and Romans 8 testimonies of triumph!

I love how real this poem is.

Sometimes when we have too much pain bottled up in our hearts it can come out as angry outbursts.

You must have been deeply hurting, on the inside, to react with such anger. Did you give yourself a hug? You deserve it.

Yes, the most destructive emotion by far is anger. It's about the ego. You have become wise, Tony, have taken responsibility for your anger and have learned how to channel it into writing. You have to proud of yourself for that kind of wisdom.
Blessings,
Christine

Angry words generate angry retorts.
kindness does the same.
You choose which one.

Anger and hate are room mates. Glad you got rid of them.
