HERE ARE EXAMPLES OF POEMS FROM HER BOOKS -- GREED By Melvia Miller too many big businesses are out of control and now our society suffers worse than in days of old not from a virus like the black plague but something worse---poverty at every age EXXON, ENRON, STATE FARM, and WORLD COM... they all have the same problem callous, greedy and under-handed most big business has turned into nothing but a scam working folks spend 40 hours per week laboring 40 years until they are so weak that they cannot see or think and then for that they get a small pension and a trinket and there are the greedy insurance companies that have put the entire nation's health care in crisis adjusters who have no purpose in life decide what doctors can prescribe senators, governors and state commissions hide from the reality of a dire need for social revisions while the rich get richer and the poor get food stamps and the middle class gets vamped life use to be a lot simpler a car, a house and few bucks left over families could have one worker gone and mom raised children at home ~Poem by Melvia Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------ WISDOM OF PROPHETS... ...by Melvia Miller if you ever feel confused and you are in dispute turn to the wisdom of leaders & prophets those who fought this same battle found ways to keep from getting too rattled so turn to the wisdom of leaders & prophets they tapped into the greatest power of the mind thus retrieving wisdom from a source much higher they ignored the trouble-makers and liars turn not to the dogmatic nor to that which is fanatic never resort to the bad--- always do the exact opposite do unto others as you want done unto you that is the law of prophets and wisemen all ~ THIS POEM BY MELVIA MILLER ..........from her book: "all folks were created equal" ======================================= THE VALUE OF HISTORY (poem by Melvia Miller) People grow much like a tree... Reaching high Up to the sky Yearning to breathe free! Much like a tree Our roots need a deep hole-- Knowing our history... Can heal wounds and sooth souls. A strong tree Needs deep roots.
