For me not "Add Works."

My versing is a form of playing
If it was really work I wouldn't
be staying
My brain would probably be
straying
trying to figure if I was serious
about what I'm saying
One dam thing is for sure
writing this verse sure
isn't paying
but anyway each and every day
I do no delaying

After working my job eight hours
any other form of work sours
like thorns on the rose flowers
Playing as much as I can
adds to my coping powers
I probably need to work
some more job hours
but I'm no workerholic
neither am I an alcoholic
or dope head
I prefer good clean fun instead

Writing verse is like flushing
the brain
before a lot of stuff heads
toward insane
Of course some things in
the head
should stay in their bed
It does take some hard work
trying not to let them out instead
The woods is always there
but versing helps clear
some of the air
Life just isn't fair

One thing I hope you know, Grady: It's always a joy to read your "verse"!! And you DO clear the air with your words :o)
Don't always comment (I'll get back to that soon), but DO read and enjoy!!

I agree, OPG. Writing is excellent therapy for the soul. Love and peace,

You play well. And writing does keep us sane! (I think--or else we AD folks are crazy in the same way)
