Closer and closer it came,
like it was actually calling his name.
Seconds meant nothing,
same time delivering something.
Time in life,
pulsating exciting drive,
another heartbeat to thrive,
eyes stretched in expectation,
pupils expanded in dilation,
time was passing quick,
pulling the rip cord was the final trick.
As the reverend expressed last prayers,
love ones expressed their last loving cares.
Eventually the casket was lowered down,
six feet into the ground.
Six feet was all he had left,
before he faced his death,
not even a second,
or even a heart beat away,
to the final end of his day.

All of a sudden a shake,
strong as an earthquake,
a loud scream,
"honey wake up from your dream."
Nightmare made no difference,
or caused any interference,
he jumped from the plane door,
skydiver to the souls core.
