A dad,
I never had,
I use to be really mad,
at times really sad,
because I had,
no dad.

No dad since age nine,
it's a miracle I managed a strong spine.
It was really hard,
with no dad to help me start.
Life beat me pretty good,
until I finally understood.
Even then it was difficult,
disaster almost still a result.

After all the years,
through all the fears,
shedding many a tears,
I still miss my dad,
but I'm over being mad.

No dad was just a part of my F'd up life.
I almost drowned from all my strife.

My earthly father,
never did bother,
but my heavenly father,
did bother.
