This was inspired by a article in Outdoorlife feb/mar 2003 page 18. This is a true story about a coon hound found
mummified in a oak log.

dog in the log
bark or bail
hot on the trail
unwilling to fail
the coon don't mind
he can climb
the bark goes loud
in goes the hound
a dark haunting sound
no one to hear
mission turns unclear
stuck frozen in time
the dog can't climb
