Good Night Buttercup

Heavy darkness never ends.
Little girl waits quietly
praying he will not..
come to her room again.
She closes her eyes and prays
To her higher power.
To help her escape to the Ivory tower.
The safe tower of her mind..
that takes away the painful times.
That lets her forget the shame..
of having to plead with Daddy again.
Sometimes he will not let her mind escape..
Leaving her to feel all the pain and hate...
Leaving her body to suffer
her heart to ache.
When he is done.. he covers her up..
He leans over and says
----------good night my buttercup.
He leaves the room..
she is alone now
All alone in her own private hell..
At one time a little girl....
Now an empty shell.
With every invasion into her small body did go..
little by little a young fragile soul.

Erica Ivory ECA 15 years old.

Wow. Such strong emotions and powerful. Reminds me of the Danielle Steel book, "A Long Journey Home" in the first chapter. Good write, Erica, as always.

(*If only my writing was as yours was when you were young, I'd have something to be proud of like you. *)

Warm Love,
*-Brittany-*

Stabbing Pencey Boudreaux by Mary Lynn Plaisance

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
