In the Horn of Africa
Along the Indian Ocean
Off the tip of the red sea
We have a beautiful country
Its name is Somalia
It is blessed with two rivers
It has good soils to grow crop
Its coastline enjoys rich marine life
There is livestock of different sorts
But people Oh my people! Oh Somalis
They have a complex tribal intricacy
Ruronomadic is their main cultural base
They lead a harsh weather-dictated life
Their compus points to direction of rain
On ponds and water points they converge
Rule of the survival game is clan power
Numerical superiority is necessary condition
Otherwise one would drink from the cup of defeat
He would bite the sand like a fallen statue
Still that is not enough
Some poets would add salt to the injury
They use their tongues to fan the war
Their poems will go into history records
They remain covered under political ash
Interest groups use them for their advantage
They incite war among Somali tribes
With the slightest mention of a verse
One community bouncs off against the another
Anytime we step on civilization ladder
We see shadows of barbarism chasing us
That is how we go back to square one.
A change is necessary to take place
We need to reverse this evil trend
But when and by who is the question

Brother Abdi-Noor, I feel your pain and frustration but you more than anyone have the will to keep the flames of truth blazing. Unfortunately civilizations and cultures often try to kill the real prophets among us. Stay strong and true as we pray for your safety in a most dangerous world that prefers lies to truth and savagery to harmony. Peace, love, and blessings. Mikii
I don't have the solution, but you do: you have the voice to change things for the betterment of your people and government. Education is key; continue to teach your nation peace, and they will hopefully listen. Yours is a wise and powerful voice, needed sanity in the rage of war...thank you for being courageous enough to want to make positive inroads for Somalia...and the world!

The ILLITERACY in Somalia is three times GREATER than Literacy because the Muslim Leaders want it that way. The numbers show: The majority of the people IS under Muslim SLAVEYARD; seventy-six percent can't read or write.
The answer is given by the facts stated above. The solution can only come UNDER POET ABDI-NOOR HAJI MOHAMED's Government, if he can get rid of all Muslim Leaders in Somalia.

I believe the difference is education
When the populace becomes educated
they are able to understand better
what leaders to follow, and how to
better their condition. The educated
in Somalia like you, carry the burden to
get the message out to make sure, others
get the education they need. Only then
will other nations trust their help will be utilized
for the good of the people and not the warlords
This is just my opinion, and only part of the solution
Abdi-Noor, you certainly present a dilemma. The only way that Somalia will rise is if all her people come together for the greater good of Somalia. Special interests and one group feeling they should have all the power simply because their numbers are greater will result in things remaining the same. I think Somalia must have some internal changes before any external assistance would be able to be able to help with definitive governmental changes. This is all very sad, because as we wait for Somalia to pull together and for her people to make the choice to go forward as a single group, your people continue to die from rampant disease and lack of simple human needs. I wish I could wave a magic wand and all would be right in Somalia, but that is not possible and until the people decide (collectively) that they want their country to heal and become strong, there if very little hope of change or of a solid future for Somalia.
