The generator was fixed to resume its normal function
As darknes was slowly taking its grip
We felt loneliness creeping silently
We centered around the kerosine lamp
As we played and exchanged sweet jokes
We heard flashing plips unexpectedly
The wires became pregnant with rays
Light came thereupon to kill the dark
The company succeeded the repair works
Then we all burst into a song of joy
This time not only Me and my daughter
But all of us both kids and adults
We sang NALKA NALKA NALKA (The Bulb)
I saw the kerosine lamp abandoned
Its light was buried in the shadow of light
Nobody cared anymore which way it flickered
It blinked its eye with some displeasure
I slowly detached myself from the chorus
I thanked the kerosine lamp politely
I said I rely more on you than this generator
When technology fails you are the fall-back
I said bye for now with a single breath

Very inspirational. I truly like the last stanza. Thanks for sharing.

"I saw the kerosine lamp abandoned
Its light was buried in the shadow of light"
How often we abandon things and friends when something/someone
more attractive comes along! Yet, we may still have need of their services or friendships again in the future. It is good to be appreciative and acknowledge "things" and "people" we need and enjoy. Your writings make me humble and grateful for blessings
of loved ones and ordinary circumstances that I constantly take
for granted. Thank you, Abdi-Noor!

Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
It's almost Christmas. Lynn Basil is writing her last book about a secret entrance into the magical doll land of Sha Bebe that she loves so much. Bagannos have taken over the world! Lynn finally meets her dolls in real life. Can she write in a Secret
