A girl wants to restart a broken relationship all over again by giving love a chance
It was here where we had first met
Where you and I had exchanged heart
And mixed blood to exchange love
The word you said to me that day
Deeply reverberated in my mind
Made echoes of light in my soul
As it beamed in my heart like a jewel
It was a shining spot of hope
That showed me the way forward
But never took me anywhere far
As our love never bore any fruits
It has ended sooner than expected
It was a love born out of infatuation
Though one year has already elapsed
There still remains a way to rekindle it
I wish to suggest meeting again
In that very spot our hearts had met
Let us throw a piece of wood in the ash
There might be some embers buried within
Let us give love a chance to glow again
Fire from the ashes of failed love, seldom withstands the first few raindrops of disagreement. Infatuation is not the portal to love nor even the doorstep to love. It is simply, irrational passion. As usual, you have thouhgt long, reasoned well before penning this very excellent poem. Thanks for sharing Abdi-Noor
