May be it is difficult for you to imagine that people kill each other for water but it is a reality existing in Somalia. Harsh environmental condition is one factor that caused such a widespread misery in the rural areas of Somalia. Corrupt leaders have exploited this disadvantage to the benefit of their war business. They have squandered development funds and diverted them to buying ammunition to perpetuate their criminal activities of inciting wars. This fund diversion created a huge flow of young people from the rural areas to the urban centers to try their luck but unfortunately the only industry that can absorb them is the war industry. That is how Somalia is destroyed, that is how warlords never run short of militia, that is how young boys are brainwashed to join the jihadist machinery of bombing innocent people in the market places. The world should know the cheap tricks of these blood thirsty criminals who are deceiving the people of Somalia and who only know how to invest in human blood.

There are many African nations who are moving along the dictatorship line of centralizing power. Such governments will end up in the pits of misery like Somalia. The world should say no to any system of government that centralizes services in certain urban localities at the expense of the demise of the rural life. Democracy should be employed, not that of the East or the West, not the yellow or green, not this democracy or that democracy, not the one a leader wears a civilian dress and rules at gunpoint but democracy as enshrined in the constitution of the kingdom of humanity. Democracy is the key to solving problems in Somalia, Africa and anywhere in the world where the grip of dictatorship has painfully taken root.

Conflicts need resolution
But they can´t be resolved
Unless their origins are traced
Sometimes shortages are the cause
Dialogue could be a strategy to employ
But a real solution could lie elsewhere
Improvement of service delivery systems
Is one sure way to avoid conflicts
I have seen this is Sweden
Where every item you find here
Is availabe anywhere in the country
I wish I could replicate it to Somalia
Where people pick a fight over nothing
And kill each other at the water points
As they fetch few gallons for a household
I wish we had a leader with a vision of humanity
Who with his ingenuity and moral convíction
Could rebuild a new Somalia with a new design
Could wipe tears from her weeping eyes
And who could prevent it from further bleeding
Who could avert misery and save tons of blood
