there are smart people
who are just so dumb
they don’t realize when they’re wrong
they see the world as black and white
red and green
orange and purple
always opposites
distracting from the facts
never do they see the world
as what it really is
red, yellow and blue
with all qualities and colors
blending into shades in between
or combined to make some other black
or discarded to make the purity of white
color without color
we are not merely different
but a different variation of the same thing
so when you criticize others
in reality, you are speaking of yourself
Very true and very sad. As intelligent as we are, we still live in a world of polar opposites. There is no gray area. Maybe one little poem, can start making people realize there are many colors, all with the same answer...

You are, of course, right in each and every line in this poem. Volumes and volumes, poems and poems, essays and essays, have been written throughout the history of the world about this exact same thing. Sigh. When it is all said and done, however, it seems that the majority of people simply mistrust those that are different than themselves. A blemish in the creation of us? Most certainly. Will the world ever evolve toward understanding and accepting the blending of colors? That, my dear, is the question I have not the answer for.
This world would surely be mighty bland without those mirrors with living colors!
I've learned throughout times, when one can only see the black and white of life, not only are they missing out on the brilliance around them, they tend to want to discolor the view for the rest. I refuse to let them destroy my part of the world..if I have to pull and tug, push and fight to keep it..that's what I'll do!
