Poem Artwork

Every day
I shuffle through my catalog
of you.
Flipping through
years of photos;
some sent, some taken.
I click until I reach
an all time favorite
and then I linger
for a while.
Holding your image
tightly in my thoughts
I search my mind
for an innocent
moment to manifest
itself.
Sometimes
it appears
as just a finger
tenderly brushing
the top of a hand.
Other times
it goes much further.
And when I think
too deeply
I have to stop
myself
before I
accidentally destroy
my collection of you.
Tears
have never been known
to lube
electronic devices.

Sara, although memories not only in the form of pictures, but also in one’s heart allows one to “feel” the absence, but they enhance them, my friend. For if not those memories which have been captured which are held deep inside and then sometimes allowed to surface, I believe one would suffer too much while reaching for utopia. An extremely heartfelt timeless creation. Thank you for sharing it. Take good care and be well.

how true is this. tears aren't much good on the ink and paper side either...'cept there is no shocking outcome..
but ya know, sweetie...tears do clean the cobwebs and they remind us that "by damn!!! we're alive"! dead spirits don't feel pain anymore!
big hugs to you
best wishes always...and remember...close cover before crying.
always
krissy
ps..i love the picture. it's an amazing piece. i was in that beautiful bubble for a while...and wouldn't trade (the memory) for anything.

Sorry Tinka, you misunderstood. It is my fault because I left out a line about dripping tears into my laptop. I have to stop myself from crying too much or the tears will destroy the laptop, an electronic device. ~ Sara

Been there way to often...but no...just never get that far to destroy the memories of a time I thought I was still worth something!!

Maybe that's why...if ever I will destroy myself at the same time!!

Just needs one push to do so at times....to make the jump!!

Thanks for sharing this very compassionate write!!

Love Tinka
