Poem Artwork

it would be easier
if you thought of me
if you felt compelled to know
the things you can’t yet know

like the true color of my eyes
or the sensation of my touch
or the crazy curliness that is my hair

it would be easier
if you wondered of my smile
my laugh
my tears
my pains

or better yet
how delicious it would be
if I would melt
...when touched by you
because I can tell you
I wonder and believe
that...would be true

never mind, you don’t know
or seem to wonder
if I whisper to myself
when I think of you

or how it would feel
to know my kiss
that soft and biting
invite

or how I taste
or purr
or curl
or reach up
...next to you

yeah,
it would be easier
if you wondered
of me and you

wondered,
if it would be sweet
- tart
or less than blue

Wistful, yet full of longing...
Beautiful!

Sara,

O, I felt your heart's cry...to be loved, to be noticed...but also felt a bit of fear, of not wanting to yield? That's what I sensed, reading this powerhouse--well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

some people rather remain ignorant or unresponsive to the touch of an intimate embrace ... their loss ...

Longing, so tangible in this poem. Take a chance on life. It could be the best thing that happens to two people.

I love this one, definately one of your best writes and the images and feelings that you stir in the reader or at least in this reader are sooo sweet.

A plaintive cry into the void . . . Heart opened to the world . . . Tears barely held unchecked . . . Justified longing and wants . . .
