I like to read you know

And who better (or is it whom, I never know)

Not ones like me
Who know they are smart
And say, “oh I can do that
I can rhyme
I can string a few words together
Break them up
Drop a preposition here
An adverb there”

A poet
Or a writer
Is
Because
To them writing
Is
Like breathing.
It is the natural rhythm
Of their life.
Okay so my philosophy
Occasionally
Hits the target.
But for all the times
I get it right
I get it equally wrong.
So what I really want to say
What this all started out to be
Is a messy roundabout way of saying

I see what you mean o kindred spirit HA keep at it. I had a friend who was not only an awesome person but a great cook (see "i know you hear me") She taught me a great lesson about not only cooking but life. She said "Never make excuses for the food you put in front of someone. If it's awful, smile and figure out what you did wrong, pour the wine and ask about the kids, but never, never apologize." Same goes for writing. Throw it out there, hey if they like it they like it, if they don't oh well. If You like it you'll be cooking up another batch. Keep cooking girlfriend, your cooking with gas. And never say your not a cook.
