1 a) : a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety b) : the susceptibility to such emotion 2 : a condition of humiliating disgrace or disrepute
I hang my head in shame Number 1 and Number 2 Wishing I could truly hide from you So as not to cause anymore pain
But I keep remembering so many moments Like when you were sitting in the chair And I was lying on the bed all feverish and cold You kept turning up the heat and I kept shivering more I was looking at you, staring with all my might Memorizing your face In case I never saw it again You were typing on the keyboard Speaking to me in your soft gentle voice And then you glanced up As I felt my face flush You realized my eyes were embracing you With the look of love you held my gaze And our eyes touched I wanted to cry And pour out my love I wanted to wrap my arms around you And hold you for the rest of my life
Just one of many memories I have As I looked at you, looking at me. Thank you for letting me know that I was loved. I love you my darling...forever.
